A no-phone, twice a month tea hang out. Why no-phone? Studies have found that the mere presence of phones distracts our brains and reduces our cognitive abilities. They are also experience blockers. We usually meet on Sundays from 11–2pm, but we sometimes take field trips too (local festivals, restaurants, other Communi-tea members' homes, etc.).
Request an invite via WhatsAppMeet at Hawthorne Park, directly across from Guzo Cafe (12th and Catherine St.). All are welcome! This is especially beneficial for folks who work remotely and/or are self-employed. We will walk for 30 minutes around the area. There is no groupchat for this group, just show up. Rain or shine! Please be on time!
Join us for a monthly hike where we leave the phones behind and reconnect with nature and each other. A chance to unplug, breathe fresh air, and build community on the trail.
